After setting them up they become such a huge part of the home that we frequently forget one rather crucial thing – they must be cleaned!Before you start you have to turn the power off. You will be cleaning them when it is light outside so there is no need for them to be turned on and you dont want to damage the lights or fry yourself in the process. A ladder need to be used to get hold of any lights that are high up.Utilize a screwdriver to get rid of the globe from around the light fixture. Also remove the light bulb. Throw it away if it is broken. Set these to the side where you are able to clean them later on – but where it will not become damaged.Fill a bucket with warm water and dish soap. Use an old rag to wash down the outside of the light fixture. Be sure to rinse it off when it is too nasty. Wet the rag once again and wring it out till no water is dropping from it. Now clean the interior of the fixture and around the socket. Ensure not to get any water inside of the socket. When you are finished use a towel to dry it off. Take glass cleaner and use it to clean off the globes and the functional solar light bulb. When you are finished put back the bulb and globe. Utilize a different rag to put on polish. This will help to bring back the shine and make it appear like new again. Allow it to dry before turning it back on.
